Tim Newton - Vet and Practice Owner
I qualified in 1984 in South Africa, and have lived in the UK since 1988. I joined Park Vets as a partner in 1996. I did a couple of years of large animal work in Namibia as a new graduate, but have been working with pets since arriving in the UK. My chief veterinary interests are skin problems, internal medicine, dentistry and rabbits. I have two cats, Pepsi and Peanut, who were abandoned when they were three weeks old. My other interests include music, reading, travel (I did two years around the world with my back pack many years ago), deserts, and scuba diving.
Peter Lennox - Vet
I have been a member of the Park team for since April 2005. I graduated from Edinburgh University in 1997, and then joined the first opinion side of a referral practice in Surrey. After two years I took a break and travelled the world, working in Australia for three months. On returning I worked as a locum before managing a branch surgery for a large veterinary group in east London for three years. My areas of interest are surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology and reptiles. I have two cats - Clyde and Pip (as she squeaks rather than meowing) who loves getting into lots of trouble. Outside of work I enjoy rock climbing, snowboarding, music and scuba diving.
Clair Newton - Practice Manager
Following careers in engineering and financial software design, I decided to change direction and completed a business degree in 2005. I am delighted to have joined the team as practice manager. Juggling a job, home as well as two children and two cats keeps me busy. I also enjoy travelling (when we can get away from the Practice), camping and walking, I sing in a local choir, and love escaping to the theatre.
Corinne Chennell - Senior Veterinary Nurse and "Cat Advocate"
Hi, I'm Corinne. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2012 and was lucky enough to start at Park Vets in November 2014. I have two cats: my little old timer Toffee and my bouncy boy Cabbage, whom I rescued after he was attacked by a dog. I also have a tiny dwarf hamster called Stanley. In my spare time I like going to the cinema (especially if it involves popcorn!), and looking after my fur babies.
Rozane Barlow - Veterinary Nurse
Lucy Arron - Nursing Assistant
I've always wanted to pursue a career with animals, and I was lucky enough to work at the Riverside Animal Centre in Sutton from 2011. Initially I was a volunteer working on the pet unit, but ultimately I joined the full-time team - working with injured and orphaned wildlife. After the centre's closure, I wanted to take my knowledge of animal care further - after becoming well-versed in the art of bandaging pigeons - so becoming a Veterinary Nursing Assistant was the next step! I also have four rescue cats; Poppy, Chester, Peach and Pumpkin - and they don't seem to mind me serending them with show-tunes, so it's working out pretty well
Louise Savage - Receptionist
Hi, my name is Louise and have now been working as a receptionist at the practice since June 2003 - gosh how time flies! At home I am the proud owner of two cats, Bernie and Sid. Oh - and did I forget the two children and three grandchildren? So between the animals and the kids, I don’t have a lot of time spare!
Angela Wheeler - Receptionist
I'm Angela and I'm very happy to be your newest receptionist! I am the proud owner of Kenji the very mischievous bunny, Remi the elderly rat and we have a family dog called Copper. It's an absolute dream to work at Park Vets, meeting our lovely clients and getting to know their fur and feather babies, and those with scales too! I love spending time with my family, reading, music and I'm a huge film buff! I look forward to welcoming you to Park Vets and for those of you I've already met, thank you for welcoming me too!
